So i have 6 neon tetras in a 10 gallon, and i recently added 2 male platies to the tank. Since then, the neons aren't really swimming with each other and are just all over the tank. They were schooling before i got the platies. Are they sick or stressed, or am i just being paranoid?

I do not think it was the plaites. I think that the Neons finally got use to the tank and started going their own way.
A 10 gal is really too small to school in, unless you have about 20 neons in it.

A lot of neons will school in a smaller tank, or just a few (6-8) will school in a bigger tank.
