Hey AC. I've come into possession of an apple snail that was found behind the tanks in a pet store, quite dried out. I threw him into a five gallon tank I have with some plants and mosquitofish in it hoping he'd revive, but it's been over 24 hours and he's still sealed up and floating. I know inverts deteriorate quite quickly after death, so I figure if he was dead, his operculum would open up and he'd probably stink, but he's got no smell. The fact that he's floating leads me to believe that he probably doesnt have much water in there. What should I do? How do you guys revive a snail if it decides to go on an adventure...?

I'd move him to a different container. Keep in mind he can breath air if he still lives and that may force the issue.
