what could these white dots be that have seem to grow over night on only one of my hermit crabs shell? No other fish or invert has any spots. Please help thank you

not sure if they came overnight just never saw them before. I just saw it for the first time this morning. On the shell their is around 15 of the dots. I haven't seen him since I got home from work; must be in the live rock
