I have decided to build a new light hood for my 90 tall. I currently am surviving on one 4 foot flourescent naively purchased from my LFS. Man do they overcharge.
I just picked up 2-new 2 foot double flourescents and wanted opinions on what kind of lighting would be best.
Please note that this is currently not a planted tank. I have four silver dollars (lawn mowers) in the tank. I am thinking of removing them in the future and finding more plant friendly inhabitants. Right now I am just looking for lighting that will highlight the colouring in all the fish.
