Are Cory's ok in PH of 8?

Hi, I have a friend who has a freshwater community tank, she can't get her PH below 8 and was wanting to keep some Julii Cory's in there. Has anyone done this with success? Everything I read says they can handle a PH up to 7.8

Any replies would be greatly appreciated!

I have Juli cories in my tank with a Ph of 8.4 - 8.6. I've had them for over a year. They are very active and seem just fine.

The most important thing is to keep the pH stable. If it is a bit high then that should be fine.
