I kept three female bettas in a 44 gallon tank with some dwarf gouramis, a yellow labidochromis caeruleus, and a dozen or so zebra danios. The bettas did fine until they got eaten. The males are more aggressive though. I think they would probably be ok as long as you don't add more than one male betta. Just watch that he doesn't harass the other fish and give him plenty of room.

EDIT: I just reread your post and noticed you said "she." Is this a female betta?

The males have very long fins and can be a little more brightly colored than females. You usually have to go a little more out of your way to get a female Betta.

These are female Bettas:

And this is a male Betta:

Since Lissy is a he (and I don't think he'll be offended, hehe), then you can keep him in your 29 gallon, but just don't put any other bettas in there with him.

What other fish do you have in there? I'm only asking because if you have some with fancy fins (like guppies, or some types of tetras or angels) the betta may get aggressive towards them (thinking they're another betta)...

Welcome to AC!!

Some plakat finned males have short fins but are indeed males. But at the petstore most of the fish you'll see with log fins are males. Mollies need more salt in their water than bettas like, I believe, but someone who knows more about mollies might want to let you know.

In a tank with Mollies I'd be worried about the Mollies picking on the betta. Bettas are aggressive with each other and any fish they think looks like another betta (fancy guppies, gouramis), but they are very shy with other fish and get often picked on, even by platies and guppies.

Don't mind him. Welcome to AC.
