I'm interested in getting a Python sytem for doing my water changes (both removing and adding water). I'm looking at bigalsonline.com and the different Python parts they have. Two things in question to add to the system:

- Faucet Pump. Is this what I need to drain water from my tank to my sink?

- Porter (carrier for Python). Is thing useful? Do you have one and consider it worthwhile?

Check here for the list of Python items in question:

Basically, all you need is whatever size of the regular Python package. It comes with everything you need to handle the task from any standard sink. The only other thing that I would consider that I eventually bought is the brass faucet adapter. The plastic one that comes with the Python gets worn out over time. HTH

So what does the pump do? Or is that a replacement, when the threads get messed up like you mentioned?

Hmm, guess I'll need to check another site for the brass part.

Yeah, most of that additional stuff that you see including the faucet pump, are replacement parts. The carrier and the brass faucet adapter are upgrades. Check the other online places like ThatPetPlace, F&S, Petsmart, etc.. Some of them have good coupons out there floating around. HTH
