Do pulsing xenias need light? I know a lot if not all of xenia species requires no light, and sucks up nitrate, is that the case with pulsing xenia? Should I supplement them with phytoplankton? I'm talking about the pom pom pulsing xenia.

All Xennids require light. They do uptake nutrients directly from the water, but likely can not meet their energy needs on that alone. Supplementing with phyto likely wont do much, they rely on dissolved nutrients not particulate food.
