I am transferring my 6" sunfish to my 150 gallon stock tank to free up my 20 gallon aquarium.

What is the best way to do this?

I usually just net and dump the fish in the new tank.

Is that good??

That is what I would do. They are pretty tough and as long as the two tanks temps. are within a few degrees it should be fine. Good luck catching it, you may need to stick your hand in there to scare it into the net.

when i had pumpkinseeds, surprisingly they were really easy to catch. i just put the net under them and they kind of layed right down and let themselves be scooped. like previous poster said, they will be fine just being netted as long as the waters in the tanks are not wildly different.

Thanks

That is what I have done in the past.

I guess I'll do it that way this time too.
