I've noticed over the past couple of days that the black areas of my live rock (they were black when I got it) have started being covered in a white/translucent colored honeycomb. The pattern is very small...but it's definitely starting to cover most of the black...I don't see it anywhere else.

Anyone know what this is and whether or not it is good or bad?

Hmm. Still looks like dead siderastrea skeleton to me. My guess is that whatever was on top of it died, exposing the dead coral. Is it hard or squishy?
