I put in a nice star polyp last tuesday, and need some advice on acclimation. It opened up very nicely at first, but now every day since has been showing less and less polyps. I have it low in my tank, in a nice flow, and under PC lighting. My water quality is good, although I'm due for a water change, but that shouldn't hurt anything... Anyway, should I move it higher in the tank? Is it closing up because it requires more light?

Gsps are really hardy but can take quite a bit to acclimate.Give it a couple weeks and they will be fine.

Mine have always appreciated more intense light. If it doesn't perk up soon, you might want to move it up. Always helps to know parameters, though, like specific gravity, pH, alkalinity.

I've have had this kind of problem sometime ago.

And I the cause was a Centropyge that bites it... :thud:

Do you have a Centropyge or another small angel ?
