I have an old piece of driftwood. The main piece is nicely attached to a piece of slate. The rest of the pieces are broken off. I was storing it in the top of a box and hubby used it for a dumping ground. Anyway I'm going to use some invisible nylon thread to tie it back together, but the pieces are really fragile and hot glue would really help stabilize it. Is it a bad idea to put hot glue in my tank - isn't it just basically melted plastic? I have to do something, the base is not useable the way it is now.

Thank you EMS I mainly want to glue the knot in my nylon thread so it stays knotted. So I guess if I encapsulate the knot in a bead of hot glue that would do the trick - I'm going to work on that right now - I miss the way my driftwood looks in my tank. :)
