My brother has a 125g tenecor tank with the filtration built in the back. The tank is up and running and was looking to add a skimmer but none would fit in the back chamber that would be adaquete for his tank.

So he looked into a sump where he could put the skimmer. All the LFS said it was not possable without drilling the tank. That would require a complete breakdown of the tank and a lot work.

Next found a method on this site where you run the pipes to the sump and drill holes so that when the water level drops air would be sucked in breaking the flow.

He is thinking instead of using an overflow due to his limeted space on the back of the tank and the hood would a PVC pipe over flow work?

What would be the best type of sump for a 125g FOWLR where he could put in his skimmer and use something like a PVC overflow.

Any ideas?
