hi guys!i finally decided to convert my fresh water tank to marine but i have one problem my aquarium doesent have enougph space for 4 lamps for the ligthing it only takes 2 i mthinking to put an extera add on to have enouph space but if i do that the lamps (the one next to the other)will take half of the aquarium surface,is this a problem or it's ok?Any other ideas about how to fit the 2 aditional lamps?

if you mean there isn't enough space in your existing hood you could always build a DIY canopy, cheap, easy and you'd be able to utilize all of your tank surface area for the lights.

unless your going to have a reef tank, you dont need metal halide lights. if you think you might someday upgrade to a reef, then go ahead and spend the bucks now. if you really dont want a reef, metal halides are wasted money.
