would there be any problems keeping a bristlenose pleco with a sailfin pleco in a 55g cichlid tank? i read somewhere that this guy had a mango pleco and a bristlenose and they didn't get along to well (not sure what size the tank was)

55 gal is kinda small for a sailfin pleco, but Compatability wise, I think that they would get along okay.

Never tried what you are asking, but I have studied and read (many times) that common/sailfin plecos get territorial with age. The bristlenose plecos look too similar for me to feel comfortable telling you to try it. A 2 foot vs. a 6 inch pleco is not an even match. Some plecos I've seen can be quite aggressive about territories, and I've read of some real terrors. I would pass on this idea unless you hear from a few truely experienced advocates.
