Hi I have 2 damino damselfish in a 250 gallon fish only tank.. Well the female has been laying eggs on the corals and it seems like the male sits in there. But in the morning all eggs are gone. But I know conditions are not right for breeding..both are very large in size and very agressive they grew very fast over the years. They seem to be constantly digging up the substraight ang digging holes ..they managed to move it all to one side... Is this normal behavor there tank mates are a very large queen angel a lionfish clown trigger foxface and sohal tang . Thanks jimmy

Yep, pretty normal. I have a male blue damsel, and he's been cleaning and defending little nests in the sand for the last week--he's doomed to failure, since he's the only damsel in the tank, but he keeps trying. Most likely, one of the larger fish is chasing them off and eating the eggs.
