Kuhli loaches, bumblebee catfish are the best known of the fish. Several species of snails will also stir the upper layers of sand.

A lot of loaches, dojo loaches, horsefaced loaches, peppered loaches. Banjo catfish as well as zig zag eels and tire track eels. Also earth eaters...gymneophagus do a great job of stirring up the sand as well as moving it. Crayfish and malaysian trumpet snails do a good job of moving the upper layers.
