My 46 bowfront reef tank has been set up for about 4 years--I have a blue tang that suddenly started showing bumps with white spots--What's wrong and how do I fix it? I haven't introdced anything into the tank in about a month.I do have various ananomies and soft corals so I have to be careful with the cure----

sounds like ich. Move the fish to a quarantine if you can. What other fish do you have? There are multiple ich treatments out there which work pretty well. I also used a UV sterilizer when I last had it, seemed to work very well. However, UV sterilizers can kill beneficial food for corals and I wouldn't just buy one for this purpose, the ich treatment by itself should work with time. hth
