Can you?

his mouth is covered with many bright yellow bristle/teeth/whatever they are.
the area around his mouth is bright red.
Its first set of tentalces have little blue/green spots.
The tentacle color is basicly a light violet.
Its body is red/green.
he's an aggressive little bugger.

please give me as much info as u possibly can.

in addition, which fish would be better having a possible symbiotic relationship with my anemone other than a true/false perc

and one more thing...my anemone is currently doing something weird. this isnt the first time. Its as though he is molting or something, because he looks so much bigger and cleaner afterwards. it doesnt look like multiplying, because it litterally looks like he is molting.

It's a tube anemone (Ceriantharia species) not sure which one. Ok, well first thing what are your tank readings water conditions, size, contents, other critters etc? You also seem to be having quite the hair algae out break. I'd suspect from it's abundant growth that you have quite a few excess nutrients in your tank water. That will be VERY bad for the long term health of this critter. It's not as sensitive to water conditions as some but, that should be one of your top priorities.
He's mostly a filter feeder so you'll need to get him several different foods pureed fish, shrimp, or etc, and supplement with something like selcon. I'd feed it a small amount everyday . What do you have as a substrate? It absolutely has to have three or four inches of sand in order to survive, because It needs the sand to mix with some specialized cells to make it's tube. It also won't like halides or other very bright lights and if that's the situation in your tank you'll need to give it some shade.
I'm sort of surprised to hear you say that he's aggressive all anemones will eat fish given the opportunity but, believe it or not this guy isn't nearly as likely to do so as most others. Usually they can only catch smaller, slow , sick fish due to their diets they really don't pack the punch of some like the carpets or even bubletips. I suppose that it would really depend on what you have/had with him though.
hth and good luck
Chris

I've actually had him for the past 2 months. The algea as well as many other things have been thriving on that rock ever since he got there. I've changed 25% of the water2 days ago to keep the trace elements(or w/e they're called) in check.
As for food i alternate. one day, i give it a small chunk of either fish/shrimp/squid. the next day i drop 2 teaspoons of zooplankton.
Where he is, the light isnt too bright, and the plant helps as far as shade goes.
i do use sand, about 3.5 in. thick, but he prefers that hole in the rock.
thanxs for the help
