This might be the wrong place to ask, but does anyone know if I can keep trout in an indoor aquarium? If so, how big of a tank do I need, what kind of a trout can I use, where can I buy them or do I need to catch the trout myself. Is there a web page I can go to read about it?

A lot of questions, I know. Thanks.

there is no reason why you cant keep trout in an aquarium. They need masses of running water & crystal clear polished stuff at that. They also need special diets or the become malformed. I would say a minimum 4' long aquarium & a Highblow air pump & 2-3 internal filters should do the trick. On top of Nitrate removers trout like low p.h. 5.5 max

I would say you need something bigger than a 4 foot aquarium. Trout get about a foot to a foot and a half long, they're jumpers, pretty active swimmers and they like a fast current.
