I have a pair of Kribs that i'm hoping will have fry soon...they've picked a cave and spend a lot of time there. sometimes i wont see the female for a couple days at a time.
I have a large ludwigia plant way on the opposite end of the tank. usually the rams hang out there in their own cave. i've noticed that the plant has been losing leaves. and the leaves are piled up around the Kribs cave entrances. their cave has 3 holes.
i'm not sure if the Kribs are moving the leaves to create a nest, or the Rams are tearing it up and leaving the evidence around the Kribs home to get them in trouble.
i tried to clean up the decaying plant matter, but everyday theres more and more! the poor ludwigia is almost down to nothing. i dont mind, it was only a $2 plant. but they're making quite a mess.
and i would like to know if this is normal and what plant i can replace it with...
