Just had a quick question. On my banana plant there is a hole that my gourami made, and that hole gives off a small stream of bubbles. What is that?! Is that oxygen being released from the leaf? Just wondering

What you are seeing is called Pearling and it is the visible effects of photosynthesis (oxygen being produced). Now, wouldn't that whole concept have made more sense back in elementary school if they actually showed it happening like that? I think so
You'll also see a plant "bleed" oxygen after a good pruning. It'll heal over in time, if the gourami leaves it alone. Nothing to be concerned over in the end.
