Hello,
I recently changed my 30g tank from fresh to salt water. I have "Nutrafin Freshwater Aquarium Salt" that I used for my freshwater aquarium. Is this salt safe to use for a marine aquarium? I have too much of it!

You want to use another product called Instant Ocean for your marine tank.
By the sound of your post, you may need to back up and restart things at this point. You also want to get a good book before proceeding; try The Conscientous Marine Aquarist by Fenner.

AFAIK, salt marketed as 'aquarium salt' is basically re-packaged table salt, though probably not as regulated. Definitely not the same as a marine salt mix, which contains a complex blend of different salts and is designed to mimic ocean chemistry. I wouldn't add aquarium salt to a SW tank, I imagine that would throw the chemistry off by changing the ratio of NaCl to other salts.
