Favorite Christmas Songs?

The top five of what I cannot stand and cannot bear to listen to:

1) Rockin' around the Christmas tree (sung by anyone)
2) Anything by Elvis (except Blue Christmas, I kinda like that one)
3) Jingle Bell Rock
4) Any modern sounding remix of 'Tis the Season.
5) Anyone who cannot sing "Gloria in excelsis deo" without mutilating the "Glo-o.o.o.o.o.-o.o.o.o.o-o.o.o.o.o-ria" part, they just have to change it.


My favorites, though, have to be

1) Silent night
2) Joy to the world
3) Victory in Jesus (no it's not a Christmas song but it's what Christmas is all about)
4) White Christmas, Bing Crosby.
5) The hard-rock souding remix of the Carol of the Bells. I dunno who did it. It's the only remix I like.

Oh I LOVE "Mary Did You Know?" My all time favorite, doesn't even have to be Christmas to love hearing it.

I like just about all Christmas songs, but nothing that has been "jazzed up"....I think that Christmas carols and national anthems should be sung as they were written....
