I was looking at the AquaClear Power Head 901 (900+gph).
I have a Power sweep 228 (275 gph) which does not sweep any more.
I have a AquaClear Quick Filter Iredesigned to fit the Power Sweep, and I would probably fit it for the new power head if it doesn't fit.

Would that power head e too much for my 150 gal tank?

Olaf, if this is the tank with the monos I doubt that the power head would produce too much current for them. I say this because I am using and an Eheim classic 2217(265 gph) and an Eheim classic 2215(165 gph) filter on my 40 gallon tank and my mono Sebaes swim and rest with little effort. This equals a turn over rate of 13-14 an hour depending on the exact amount of water in my tank(I am guessing between 33 and 35 gallons) With the filters and power head you currently have, adding the 900+gph power head to your tank would make the rate of turn over in your tank only a bit higher than mine. Your monos should be fine.

On my tank I have a Eheim 2026 (251gph), Eheim 2228 (277gph), H.O.T. Magnum (250gph), & PowerSweep 228 (270gph).
Cycle rate for my tank is 1048 gph.
I am going to take the H.O.T Magnum off and replace it with a Pentair Aquatics (Rainbow Lifegard) Filters (AF-94 mechanical, AF-93 chemical, AF-92 heat and UV) double size} & Lifegard Quiet One Pump (Maximum Flow*: 19 gpm, 1140 gph), and replacing the PowerSweep 228 with the AquaClear 901 PowerHead (935gph).
My tank is a 150 g acrylic.

Hmm...That brings up the tun over rate to about 20 times per hour. I still think that your monos will be fine. Mine seem to exert almost no effort to remain almost still in the areas where the current is at it's strongest. Then again my monos have lived in strong current ever since they were babies at a mere 1.5 inches in total height. They were first housed in a 10 gallon tank was using two filters with a combined turn over rate of 300 gallons per hour. They seemed fine in there.
