i got a 33 gallon tank from my work (petcetera) for free becasue one of the crossbars on the sides were cracked. It has 1 on each side, so i cut out the broken one, and its all good.....so....should i put a new cross beam on...or should it be fine?

oh yeah...the glass is 1/4 inch

this is my first thread, and im very new...so be easy on me... :(

Is this a rectangular tank-I have never seen one that small with more than one crossbar(going across the top of the tank, part of the plastic frame?)

Or perhaps it is just one side of the plastic frame that fits on the glass? If it is, I have seen a few tanks run with a piece missing, as long as it is not a center brace (to keep the tank from bowing) you would probably be alright.
