i have the black damselfish that has 1 dots on each sode and 1 above its eyes. i also have 2 clownfish and they are doing just fine. i noticed some tiny dots around both of the eyes on my damsel..any help would be great

I would observe your fish to see if anymore dots appear. If you see more this may be Ich. A picture will help the people here ID it properly.

Ich is like the common cold for fish. You have to quarintine the sick fish in another tank (nothing big) and treat him with ich cure. Usually the ick is gone rather quickly.

It only will wipe out your fish if your fish is ill or have no immunity. Most problems are in fisheries. They over stock and because of this water quality is not the best. In our systems it is easier to accomplish quality and good nutrition. You don’t want to cause stress to the immunity of the fish.

It’s still best to cure.

Sharks and rays can get Ich.

I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure that just about all fish can get Ich. But I'm not sure this IS Ich yet. What do these spots look like? Color? Have they spread? Any on fins? There are other fish illnesses that can cause dots on the fish.
