I was just wondering if its normal for my frog spawn to occasionally shed a tentacle every once in a while? the piece is typically 3mm in diameter and has about 2-3 little tips on it. The coral is healthy, fully expands, and is growing.

Thanks,

I've never seen my frogspawn or any other euphyllia specimens shed tentacles. Are you sure nothing is picking at it?

Thats what i am thinking, maybe look during daytime to see if something is picking at it, or at night, use a red light to light the tank and look to make sure there are no crabs or something trying to eat it.

I think what it is doing is when it retracts from being swollen so much, it actually pinches a piece of itself off. nothing is attacking it that i know of...and it fully inflates every day.

Just a weird trait I guess.
