I just got 2 Blue Rainbow fish a week ago and one seems to have extremely small white string like substance growing on his eye, face, body. He has like a mustache of this too. He shutters every once in a while. He is eating good but it seems like whatever is on him is bothering him thats why he shutters kinda feeling like get this white stuff off of me. Anyone know what this is?

Are you referring to the one usually sold as a Turquoise Rainbowfish? Do you know what the real name of the fish is, ie the scientific one?

Most likely it has columnaris, which is very common with rainbowfish. They carry the bacteria and it will manifest when they are overtly stressed or when their water conditions are less than optimal. If this is a Turquoise, then he must be pretty darn stressed or his water must be pretty bad because they don't come down with columnaris very easily.

You need to get out of the tank and into fresh water ASAP and start treating him with Furan-2 or another product that contains nitrofurazone. If he has white over his body, it could develop into TB, and you don't want that. Get him away from your other fishes.
