I just bought a used Eheim Classic 2215 filter from a classified ad. It is in perfect working order, but the owner hadn't changed the media in 6 months and I want to replace it now with new media. What kind of filter medias should I buy? The filter didn't come with a manual so I have no idea whatsoever.

I was thinking I should first put a course filter pad on the bottom, then substrat pro, then a fine filter pad, then a carbon filter pad, and finally one more fine filter pad on top.

Is this the wrong setup? I am making a completely educated guess, any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Also, it is a planted tank. Right now the filter has bioballs, would it be a good idea to replace it with Substrat?
