Hey all.

Just introduced a BN from a smaller tank to my main, and two have met with interesting results.

They haven't left each other alone since entering the tank. They are both small, 4CM~ and about six months old each. I can't sex them yet.

They are doing the following;

  • Next to each other, hitting/rubbing their tales on each other
  • Going face to face, and going up and down on the spot very fast
  • Every now and again one will give chase to the other but they end up in the exact same spot again

For future reference are there any for sure signs they are fighting?

Top right hand corner (or near top right) there will be a small rectangle box saying "Please wait 30 seconds" then after those seconds count down click the box and you can download.

From your descriptions and movies both, I think they are just staking out territory and dominance. They're territorial and chances are what will happen is one will camp out in the "prime" spot and the other will hang around the other side of the tank. They look like they are young enough that they will adjust to having pleco company.
Good luck,
Mary.
