Hi,
My angelfish has an injured lip. I think she got it going after food with rainbow fishes. I moved her out of that main tank and she is in a 20g now with a couple of bolivians. (It is quiet and I think she will do better there for a while - she is only 3 inches or so...)
So, her lip looks like it is cracked open. It actually looks like a cleft pallet lip only raw around the edges. It is not healing and she has been in clean water, 0,0 and less than 10 nitrates, at 79-80 degrees for a month or so. There is no fuzz, no white stringy stuff, she is eating and swimming around. Since this has been going on for a month or so, I am wondering if I need to run her on some antibiotics. If so, any suggestions? Furnace? Or a combo of maracyn 1 and 2?
Thanks,
Cathy
