I just got an aquriam about a month ago its a 20 gall. It has good filter good aeration excellent chemical ph ect. levels but there is brownish redish algae looking stuff splotched all over my fake plants and walls and everything. Is this good does it meen my batcteria is forming so i can add fish what does it meen. by the way there is 1 red wag platy in the aquriam

Since you've done a fishy cycle, you've only built up enough good bacteria to handle the one fish you have in the tank. New fish should be added very slowly! Every time you add more fish the tank will cycle again and need to build up enough bacteria for those new fish.

The brown stuff is probably diatoms - this algae is common in new tanks and will clear up shortly. Snails love the stuff.
