Mola and Me
Hello all,

I have a 125 reef tank mounted in a wall with the bottom of the tank about 4'6" from the floor. Water changes are killing my back and legs...
I would like to get a submersible pump to pump new SW from a rubbermaid container on the floor up and into the tank to fill it. It doesn't have to have the speedy but a nice full, steady stream would be appreciated.

Would someone give me a suggestion on an inexpensive pump and a gph rating to look for that would work for my needs?

TIA mucho!

I would look into a MAG pump. You could probably get by with a mag 1.5 for $20 at petsmart(their website is cheaper than the store). That would be 80 gph.

Mag are good for start and stop pumping, I had a rio 2100 for return and it went out on me after 4 months of use, went to mag, and much better.
