Hey everyone. I know that there are hundreds of different pleco's out there but I was wondering if there is a generic size/ age that they have to be before they breed.
Maybe if certain families .. panaque .. pecolitia .. etc... have this trait in common.
If you even know the size/ age that ONE pleco type will breed, I'd love to hear it.

much thanks.

If I had to do this, and I don't want to, I would guess that most plecs should be able to breed by the time they are 1 yr. old. Size would be very variable, depending upon species, but I've found that many fish breed by this age. But, this is a VERY rough estimate.
