I`ve just bought a tiny 3cm across sand anemone from my local marine shop just a thought may sound daft but can sand anemones go on live rock seen as i`ve thought that on the sand it wont get as much light as if its on top of a rock?????

at the moment i`ve placed it on a piece of live rock & its attached rite away seen as its not getting blown off but is a sand anemone ok on live rock ???

I'm not sure what a sand anemone is but, if it's unhappy in a situation it'll move it's self . How much light do you have? What sort of substrate? How old is your tank and what sort of critters do you have?

well its still the place i put him & he is all out looking good but i have 2x18w T5 power compacts critters meaning
????????

Any anenome will love you long long time if you have them under high light.. Max is lookin to see if you have a matured tank (over 6 months stable) other tank inhabitants (some will love your anenome to death...litterally)

My tank has been set up for just over 8 months but for critters i have bristle worms & probably the odd other hitchhiker

& fish & inverts & cleaning crew as below

my lighting is 2x18w t5 power compacts witch one of the power compacts is split white/blue they are over a 24inch deep by 24inch wide 29gal tank my water is perfect never had a problem i do weekly water changes & i do water tests every 2 weeks.... i`ve got reef sand but the grains are 3-4mm not sugar grain size
