Hello, I am dismantling my current sump and skimmer set up and have ordered a canister filter and Berlin Venturi free standing skimmer. (I was sick of nursing my skimmer and pump back to life, as well as sump overflows, so I ditched the whole setup.) I am currently using my pond pump to power my venturi that is sitting on the top of my 150 gal marine tank. Not so attractive. My canister is coming tomorrow. My question is can I put the skimmer under my tank in line with the canister? Will I still need my pump or can the canister power them both (I did buy the really big canister that supposedly can handle a 250 gallon tank.) I am not familiar with this set up and do not want to soak myself or my house attempting something that is never going to work anyway.
