This afternoon i notice fuzzy white balls, for lack of a better word, on my bristle nosed pleco's gills and its a little concerning. Can any of you help me out. Ill try to get a pic, but he's not very outgoing.

Hi,

Sounds like fungus. You should put it in a hostpital tank and treat for fungus. You should find the right medication at your pet store for the fungus.

My hospital tank's silicon split after 20 years and flooded the room, and the room under it recently. Would it be ok to treat the whole tank? If not i can set up a 5 gallon, but if its ok to treat the whole tank, id rather do that.

Hi,

You could treat the whole tank, but I would put the pleco in a HT so the fungus doesn't spread to other fish in the tank.
