Okay, I didn't even know there was such a thing as live rock until I saw it in a magazine yesterday! Is is for FW or SW? Do you have to do anything special to keep it?

Live plants, What do I have to do to keep these? I am assuming I will have to switch to an actual subtrate as oppossed to my gravel. I know I have to fertilize, and trimming might be neccessary depending on the kind of plant. Do I have to add any special equipment?

Just wondering about these things, thanks!

Live rock is not acually living. Its just a bunch of micro organisms and crustaceans living in it. Its for a salt water set up

Equipment depends on what species of plants you want to keep. If you want keep most species of plants alive then I suggest at least 3 watts per gallon, substrate rich in minerals such as Eco-Complete, pressurised co2 or you can have a DIY set up and dose trace elements such as Seachem's Flourish.
