Rezistor has the coolest fish for his avatar and Roan Art was kind enough to provide a link to a site with some info on these beauties...wanted to share and ask around if anyone else has them or has ever seen them...or knows where someone can GET some !!

Take a look at these beauts !

These pics I got from the following link...just to give those folks credit for these beautiful pictures ! Hope they don't mind me borrowing them....do go check the site out ! These are just 3 of many very well done pics of some very nice fish ! (figure since I borrowed thier pics, I at least ought to plug thier site !!)

And here's the link that RoanArt shared with a bit of info on the fish..... http://pandora.nla.gov.au/pan/21803/20040913/members.optushome.com.au/chelmon/Pseudomugil.htm

What incredibly gorgeous fish !!

You can check with ERIC BODROCK At Oddball Aquatics, http://www.alloddballaquatics.com/ He deals with a few Rare rainbows. I got mine the other day by accident, I went to my LFS and they told me they had some kinda rainbow that came in with the Turquoise Rainbows, They told me I could have it! After i got home I did the research and with the help of Adrian Tippen From "Home of the Rainbowfish" It was ID'd as a Popondetta Blue-eye. They are Very Beautiful fish! I am so Glad to see More people becoming interested in Rainbow fish over the last couple years. Maybe we will start seeing more in our LFS.

Oh, man, you suck :) HRMP! I've been checking AquaBid and Eric has only had Incisus for sale lately. Wonder what's up?

Here's a site that has the gertrudae and furcatusfor sale: http://www.thatfishshop.com.
Check out the Iriatherina werneri, or Featherfin, rainbow as well.

Another interesting Rainbow is the newly discovered bright red Glossolepis pseudoincisus, which is also for sale on that site. I've posted about these fish before (as Bosemani Fan knows) and it never generated much interest :)

Another newly found fish from the same P/NG/Aussie Biotope is the Goo-obo gudgeon.

I am creating 2 55g and 1 90g Papua New Guinea biotopes. The 90g will be Goo obo and Boesemanis, 1 55 will be Glossolepis pseudoincisus and either Peacock or Goo-obos and the other will be one or two of the Blue Eyes. I also have a 20g that I was going to do a mini-bio for Pseudomugil gertrudae.

Love those rainbows!

(BUMP)

Can't let this one get lost in the pile....lol....at least until I get a few more responces !!

I want to know if anyone has any....and what they have to say about them. :p:
Oh hey, if you want to know about them, join the Yahoo! rainbow fish list and read the archives. Some of it is pretty technical as many of the members are part of the teams that brought/bring those fish back from Down Under.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/r_m_l/

Some really interesting stuff on that list and they will give lots of recommendations on where to buy and how to care for them.

yea.i asked rezizter what they were in another thread.he either never replied or i just never found it again.sometimes things get buried fast.they are an awesome fish that may have a new convert.need to do more research.cool. :hang:

LOL....I just noticed that the pics I linked to on the first thread here, have disappeared....apparently that site does not appreciate folks "boring" thier pics.

Oh well, the site is linked to so anyone can go check them out if they want...I HIGHLY recommend doing that !!! :thm:

EDIT: Well, I copied the pics to my computer and put them on my photobucket site so I can put them back up....I did give them credit and there is a link to the site on that post, so I don't imagine they'll have trouble with that since I'm not using thier bandwidth to link them to.....hope that's ok....

Might want to send them an email with what you did and why, just to be on the up and up.

Man, I can't wait until I get my tanks for Christmas and get to order all those awesome fishes.

Did you look at any of the other rainbows on that site, Emg? Different families and some of them are totally awesome colors.
