I need some serious help!!

I have two beautiful RTC that are both about one year old. I bought them when they were 3 inches and was never told how big they would get. I live in NYC in an apartment building and already had a big fight to allow a 150 gallon tank into my apartment. My two RTC are starting to outgrow this tank and I cannot get a bigger one, I will be thrown out of my apartment.

Is there an organization that rescues these beautiful creatures? I am so afraid and have no idea what to do. I don't want them killed or hurt. I want them somewhere where they will be well taken car of.

What do I do?

Try calling ASPCA they might have connections to help you find a fish rescue organization that can take the fish and find a home for them. Is worth a try.

In addition to some good ideas above, contact a local club, public aquarium and never count out craigslist. Another option could be a LFS that would house it either for display, sale or until a better location is found.
