There really isn't much information on them on the web- but I think their life-span is somewhat like that of the nerite- they have very small larvae that need an element of salt-water to turn into adult snails. The adults are very tolerant of a wide range salinity of water.
From what I understand they're a very common species in the wild in their native range and that almost all, if not all the specimens in the hobby are wild caught.
I really don't know- but I believe the above to be true.
