Hi:

We are moving in about 1.5 months. The move will take a couple of days (800 miles) and one overnight. We would like to move as much of the livestock as possible. Has anyone had the experience (good and/or bad) with this length of move? Items listed below.

My family and I moved from Maryland to Arizona in December. You can look at my member page and click on the threads I have started you can read all the information about what we brought with us. It was a fairly successful move and only lost a couple fish and a frog. Had 4 nights in hotel with some very chilly days(and downright freezing nights) but the fish did very well. Good luck on your move. One night in a hotel should not be too hard for you or the fish to cope with.

your best bet would be to give away the fish. its very stressful.

like hmilstead said it can be done. your best bet would be to use rubbermaid tubs. also a power inverter to power heaters and a air pump from the car. put all filter media in the tubs. the more gravel and stuff the better.

good luck with your move.
