Thanks to everyone here and with lot's of reading, I have had a 55 gallon up and stocked with no problems for about 6 six months. I am now moving from one apartment to another, and would like some tips and help on making sure everyone doesn't get stressed out, especially me, on the move, and as Andy would say, "no one get's left behind"!! Any tips and help on a smooth move would would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you have ice chest/cooler that are well cleaned, they can be a big asset also, especially for the heavier substrate.

Keep transit time down to a minimum. Don't worry about saving any more of the water than you need to keep things wet.

I did a 250 mile move last January and the fish had to stay in a my truck overnight. The big rubbermaid containers with tops I used worked great. I put a space heater in the truck to keep them warm overnight and to my azazement didn't lose one fish.

I read somewhere that putting a towel over the fish tank/container will help the fish calm down.
