I have 2 SAE or FSAE's I am not too sure what they are, they look like SAE's but could be the false one, my question is can these fish become killers? they have herded all my fish to one side of the tank and stay at a an odd "head standing" angle, they swim normally when they move about the tank looking for fish that might have escaped the blockade, I've lost my largest clown loach and all but 3 of my gourami and my biggest Raphiel (of about 7 inches) I am at a loss of what to do, they really have not contributed to much in the line of the tank except destroy all my plants, can these fish kill other fish for no reason

I am not saying one way or another that these fish are killing mine, I am just asking if someone else had the same problem?

Sae

SAE & CAE Look very different they could be false SAE or flying fox i hear false sae cant get a little mean at times

I am down to 5 tiger barbs a 24K pleco my booger pleco (royal, Looks kinda like a booger) one gold gourami and a 3 spot gourami and a pearl gourami and 4 leperonius Faciatius thats it for my tank, I moved my knife to another tank as I diddnt want it killed...Its in a 10 G untill I know whats happening, Its in there with 2 Rosy barbs and a molly (knife is still small enough to be in a 10 g for a few weeks

Northstar:

Put the knife back in your tank and put the CAE or whatever they are in the 10g. Move them, not your other fish.

---------------
SAE have two barbs, one on either side of their mouths. CAE do not, they have a sucker mouth.

I doubt an SAE would be doing what you are proposing. I've a few and I've not seen any aggression from any as yet. In fact, the biggest one -- about 3" -- schools with my rainbows once in a while.
