I dunno. It seems to me if you let your tank cycle properly (fishless or fishy) and don't add too many animals in one go, you'll be fine. My gut feeling it that this is an unneeded expense.

Prime does not kill bacteria, so I'm sure it's compatible. The question is, why would you if you can cycle the tank normally?

i was reading the seachem website and was just curious about this product. i already have two cycled tanks.

a theory for using it: what about if i have to tear one apart and then will be expecting a mini cycle as a result....could it help avoid this mini-cycle?

I can see a reasonable argument in this case, though I'd really like to see independent lab studies showing products like stability are truly effective, first.
