Some updated pics of my Spiny Tailed Monitors

I already have one lined up. I just need to wait to build a larger setup that will accommodate 3 animals.

Well get to it bro times is waisting and im short on patience lol. Wow both females hmmmm so its even hard for you to sex if there males or females then huh lol. These cant be like vented when young to determine sex?

They're not the easiest to sex. And since these are both my first monitors I don't have a lot of experience sexing them. But what's weird about Ackies is that they usually change sex when young. The dominate one in the group will turn male while the rest turn female. So if one was to buy 3, week old baby ackies, the group should turn into one male and two females. When I was given these my buddy thought one of them might be a male already but I guess that's not the case. Either or, you never get an overabundance of males when you buy them in groups.

Lol, if you want to buy 3 go ahead. Just keep in mind that ackies ain't cheap. ;) I paid $150 a piece for these two and that was a good deal.

What a pair of fatties! I bet you feed them lots of "beetles". Any pics of the whole enclosure? That rock wall looks boss!

Thanks Ricky, and yes they eat plenty of beetles. ;)

Check out post #13 for a full enclosure shot.

Lol. Thanks. DD is right, they look frickin huge in the first pics, and that just makes the rock wall look even bigger. In any case, I'm looking forward to the new digs you set up for these guys.

When you build the new setup...what's going in the old one?
