Hello, it has been awhile since I've been active on Aquaria Central!

I used to have a larger tank that I completely failed at making into a planted tank. I have since given away the tank and it's inhabitants, and moved away from home.

I'm looking to start a brand new tank, only this time, I'd like just a small planted shrimp tank. I'm looking in the range of 5-10 gallons.

I saw this on Foster & Smith

http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=23677

It looked like something that would work PERFECTLY for me. Just a few questions:

Are those lights strong enough to grow med-high light plants? I'm familiar with bigger tank lighting, but not smaller. The lights are 13W 6,400°K CLFs

How long do those Co2 tanks last from the Co2 system? (HERE is the system link http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=23680) I would email and ask for them to upgrade me to the bigger system, but even then, they seem really small.

(debating on whether or not to use paintball Co2 method -- http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/diy/115850-paintball-co2-injection-diy-setup-tons.html or even use DIY)

Everything else looks fairly good on the kit. I still need to check my pet stores around to see if I can just buy it separately for cheaper (poor college student here)

I have a few miscellaneous questions:

How many BPS should I be getting for a smaller (5-10 gallon, moderately planted) aquarium? One of my bigger fears is killing everything.

Will it be easy tooverdose my tank if I use DIY Co2?

How would you control the amount coming from DIY Co2?

I am looking to get Cherries for the tank, will they outbreed it?
Will they control their breeding if I feed them the exact same amount all the time?

Can any particular type of fert kill inverts?

I'll probably think of some more questions as I go. Thanks a bunch guys.
