I been wondoring how big my south american bumblebee cats will get. I got them in March when they were small and from Petsmart.

How big do these guys get and would they eat my swordtail fry?


Theres were taken when I had my 30 gallon and I no longer use fake plants.

they look kinda similar to my albino walking cats and they are about 10-13 inches and are EXTREMELY aggressive they will eat absolutely anything even my fingers
 
no they only get 3-4" and thier mouth mayyyyyy be able to fit a swordtail but I doubt it. The largest ones ive seen was a mated pair that was 4" and fat. they where 5 years old tho.

Small, around 3". Fishbase.org is the best place for accurate info on max size and other things because it is used and maintained by scientists, not hobbyists.

They will happily keep your fry population under control. As with any fish, if it fits in their mouth it will end up there.
 
They mostly hide thoughout the day until I feed them. I had one that was larger then 3" years ago which I had for 5 years and he ate whole algae tablets. I laugh when they come out to eat, they swim like crazy eating the food on the bottom.
