I've been thinking of buying a look down box for taking pix of corals and such for various reasons, but perhaps the biggest one is that it doesn't matter if I've been a little lazy about cleaning the front glass.

I'm wanting to get one with a sturdy camera mount built-in to it, as I don't want to be standing there trying to hold the box steady with one hand and the camera with the other.

Anyone have one from someplace they'd recommend?
They seem to range in price from $35 - $50, I'm just curious if anyone has experience with any of them that they'd like to share.

I decided to buy one from Melev's Reef. It's on the higher end of the price range I saw, but I've dealt with him before and been happy with his items and his level of service. It arrived quickly, had plenty of packing material, and appears to be very well built. I was surprised how much it alone helped me take some better pix of corals, even though I've done nothing more than just put the camera on it to quickly snap a few photos to see what they'd look like.

Hahahaha... I was afraid that might get posted...

Here's the pix I took quickly while trying out the box... No retouching or color / contrast adjustments, just shrunk to 25% of original size to make them manageable for the site. The tank is a Marineland DD 250g and the eggcrate is on the bottom, just over 24" from the top of the tank / camera (overall tank height is 27"). Tank lighting for these pix was 2 x 250w 12,000K Reeflux MHs (no actinics / no flash / no other room lighting). As you can see in a couple of the pix, when zoomed all the way out, the sides of the lookdown box make their way into the field of view of my camera.
